Teen With Two Dads Sings Emotional Message To Birth Mother On "America's Got Talent"

"I think that it'll make her proud. I hope so."

A 14-year-old singer and pianist who was adopted at birth reached out to his birth mother last night in an emotional performance on America's Got Talent.

Campbell Walker Fields told the judge's panel that he'd like to know his birth mother someday, but is thankful for his two dads for providing him a life without struggle and an opportunity to flourish.

"I'm actually really thankful that she gave me up for adoption so I didn't have to struggle like that," he said. "My dads have done so much for me."

Campbell's heartbreaking performance of Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" moved the audience to tears, including his dads, who were beaming with pride from the front row:

Said Campbell: "I hope that she can see this and hear what I'm saying, just hear the song. I think that it'll make her proud. I hope so."
