Lydia Found Out Jackson Was Gay On The “Teen Wolf” Series Finale—And Her Reaction Was Perfect

We're going to miss you, "Teen Wolf."

For the first two seasons of Teen Wolf, Lydia (Holland Roden) and Jackson (Colton Haynes) were #relationshipgoals as the popular couple at the top of the high school social ladder.

Jackson eventually moved to London after the second season, but he returned for the final batch of episodes of the supernatural action series, revealing that he's now dating Ethan (Charlie Carver).

On last night's epic Teen Wolf series finale, Jackson returned to Beacon Hills, and reunited with Lydia—who had the best reaction when she found out that Jackson and Ethan were dating.

In the episode, Lydia and Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) run into Jackson, who had been held hostage at the armory. As they are about to make their escape he says he's ready to go, but not without Ethan.

"Ethan? What's Ethan doing here?" Lydia asks.

"He's with me," Jackson replies. Then it clicks for Lydia. "Oh my God, I thought you would never figure it out," she says with a smile.

Jackson rolls his eyes and laughs—but then a phone call interrupts the nice moment between the former couple.

In Season One and Two, Jackson was in a long-term relationship with Lydia, but Haynes says his coming out in the final season “makes total sense—That’s why Jackson carried around that angst.”

Teen Wolf showrunner Jeff Davis said he’d decided to put Jackson in a same-sex relationship long ago. “I thought, if Jackson comes back, he’s coming back in a relationship with a guy. Whether that means he’s bisexual or gay, that’s how he’s returning. I just felt like he went off to London and found himself.”

Oh, Teen Wolf, we are going to miss you.
