“Teen Wolf” Star Tyler Posey Set to Play Gay in Starz Comedy

Posey will star as Avan Jogia's love interest.

Tyler Posey has signed on for a recurring role in the upcoming Starz comedy series, Now Apocalypse, in which he’ll play former Nickelodeon star Avan Jogia’s romantic partner.

According to Deadline, the Gregg Araki and Karley Sciortino-directed show is a 10-episode comedy that follows Ulysses (Jogia) and his friends Carly (Kelli Berglund), Ford (Beau Mirchoff) and Severine (Roxane Mesquida), who are each on various quests of love, sex, and fame while navigating life in Los Angeles.

Posey will star as Gabriel, “an incredibly charismatic and mysterious guy,” who matches with Ulysess on a dating app and “grows increasingly troubled as foreboding premonitory dreams make him wonder if some kind of dark and monstrous conspiracy is going on,” after the two start dating.

Posey in his heartthrob status while starring as Scott McCall on all six seasons of MTV’s Teen Wolf. The 26-year-old recently starred alongside Lucy Hale in the thriller Truth or Dare, frequently appears on the CW’s Jane the Virgin as Jane’s (Gina Rodriguez) bisexual first love Adam, and recently joined the cast of MTV’s Scream: The TV Series.
