We knew “Teenage Dream” was coming as an acoustic reprise on the next episode of ‘Glee,’but nothing could prepare us for hearing even a tiny bit of it so early.
In a behind the scenes promo from the upcoming “The Breakup,” we get a glimpse (and listen) of Blaine singing a teary rendition at a NYADA piano bar when he surprise visits Kurt in New York after their rocky relationship this past episode. The version, which bares a striking resemblance to Darren Criss’ own acoustic arrangement, seems to be recorded live, a rarity on Glee. Kurt goes from reacting as “oh this is sweet” to “oh no, something’s wrong” in an instant.
Tissues at the ready Gleeks. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
