Tegan And Sara, Carly Rae Jepsen, Melissa Etheridge Performing At World Pride 2014 In Toronto

Toronto won't just be the capital of the global LGBT community when it hosts World Pride June 20-29, it'll be home to some of the best live shows of the summer, including performances by out duo Tegan and Sara, iconic rocker Melissa Etheridge, Canadian pop star Carly Rae Jepsen, R&B diva Deborah Cox and many more

“We attended our first Toronto Pride in 1999! Yup—we're that old!" jokes Tegan Quin. "Since then we have had the pleasure of celebrating Pride in Toronto with friends too many times to count. But this year is extra special! It's World Pride in Toronto! And we are going to be there. Not just wandering around drinking lemonade and checking out the festivities this time. We're actually playing this year! We couldn't be more proud to be involved! See you there!”

The 10-day celebration promises numerous top rock, pop, dance, hip hop, country and disco performances across ten free, all-ages, open-air stages—including Etheridge, Cox and out singer Steve Grand at the opening ceremony on June 20.

New Wave legends Berlin, Canadian pop act Parachute Club and singer-songwriter Carole Pope at the Bud Light South Stage on June 27. The next day, June 28, its out country star Chely Wright and Juno nominee Amanda Rheaume, followed by Hercules and Love Affair and Light Fires later that night.
