Tegan And Sara Team Up With "BoJack Horseman" Illustrator For New Video

"Hang on to the Night" is the seventh video from the duo's new album.

Tegan and Sara continue dropping videos for their new visual album, Love You To Death— the latest of which is a visual masterpiece and an ode to anxiety.

Directed and designed by Lisa Hanawalt, the genius behind Netflix's hit animated series BoJack Horseman, the video for snyth-pop ballad "Hang on to the Night" follows a giant purple horse who pulls literal diamonds from the sky, a pair of humanoid cat who ride horses, and a slew of other wild characters populating the trippy landscape.

"The song was a response to a number of sudden deaths in our family and my anxiety about mortality," Sara Quin told Nylon, explaining that the video explores the "regenerative" aspect of the night.

"If you can manage to hang on, you can face another day," she said. "Humans are incredibly resilient, and the refrain reminds me of what we are capable of and what we can recover from."
