Teri Hatcher Makes Her Debut On The CW's "Supergirl"

The star of "Lois & Clark" returns to the DC Universe.

Hot off the Daily Planet presses!

Teri Hatcher returns to the Superman mythology in this week's episode of Supergirl on The CW, 20 years after the series finale of Lois & Clark.

In the episode Hatcher and Kevin Sorbo (yes, of Hercules fame) guest star as the royal intergalactic parents of Supergirl's (Melissa Benoist) boyfriend, Mon-El (Chris Wood).

Hatcher might be back hanging with Kryptonians but this is a far cry from her previous super-role as Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane. This time around she plays an intergalactic queen, but her intentions might not be all good since the synopsis for the episode describes her as a "new villain."

This is not the first time Hatcher has interacted with the Man of Steel since her Lois & Clark days. She guest-starred as Lois Lane's mother, Ella, in a 2010 episode of Smallville.

Hatcher joins her former Lois & Clark co-star, Dean Cain, who also guest stars on The CW series as Kara (Supergirl)'s adoptive father, Jeremiah.

Whether Hatcher's character is recurring or just a short-lived casting stunt it's nice having her back in the Super Family.
