New Service Will Text You When Frank Ocean's Album Finally Drops
The internet had a meltdown on Friday when, once again, Frank Ocean was supposed to release his highly-anticipated next album, but didn't.
But now, fans can sign up to receive a text as soon as Boys Don't Cry finally drops — assuming that blessed day ever actually comes.
Shahzeb Khan, a computer science and engineering student at UC Davis, created the service after becoming frustrated that the album keeps being promised and then delayed.
“I’m home for the summer and, like everyone else, I’m a huge Frank Ocean fan and I’ve been anticipating the album and checking up on blogs and websites constantly, and there’s been radio silence,” he said. “I just got tired of refreshing my browsers all day.”
To sign up, all you have to do is head to the (650)82OCEAN website and provide your phone number.
Then, God (and Ocean) willing, you'll be one of the first to know if the big release ever happens.
