Like the non-evil, Earth-Two version of Ryan Seacrest, Chris Hardwick has been a constant presence in our lives for years, bringing his fanboy exuberance and sincerity to TV and social media, building his own nerd empire in the process.

Chris has given us many looks over the years. From his awkward early MTV game-hosting days in the mid '90s.

To his "Ryan Gosling in a boy band" look from the late 90s.

There were some unfortunate moments.

But Chris was adorable from the beginning, and has maintained that appeal for over twenty years in show business.

Today he celebrates his 44th birthday hosting Talking Dead on AMC, @Midnight on Comedy Central, voicing a snake in the Nickelodeon series Sanjay and Craig, maintaining a stand-up career and podcast, and as C.E.O. of Nerdist Industries.

And somehow he's found time for a bromance with John Barrowman.

And who could forget that episode of G4's Attack Of The Show in 2010, when Chris gave us all a nerdgasm by climbing into a hot tub with Olivia Munn (who looks delighted) and Clark Duke (who looks less delighted).

This was the moment that Chris took the throne as Hot Nerd King.
