Dan Bucatinsky posted a photo on Facebook from the set of The Comeback, the Lisa Kudrow comedy coming back to HBO. The shot is of a video monitor displaying Kudrow with Robert Michael Morris, a.ka. Valerie Cherish's flamboyant hairdresser and confidante, Mickey.

Bucatinsky and Kudrow are producing the new run with Michael Patrick King (Sex and the City), and Bucatinsky is returning to the role ofValerie's publicist, Billy Stanton. (James Novak, Bucatinsky's  character on Scandal, was recently killed off.)

Debuting in 2005, The Comeback followed Cherish as she tries to reignite her stalled acting career with a reality show and a humiliating “wacky neighbor” part on the fictional sitcom Room and Bored.

Though canceled after only 13 weeks, The Comeback was nominated for three Emmys, including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Kudrow. In the near-decade since its demise, the showhas achieved near-mythic status and fans delighted when HBO announced it was bringing the show back for a six-episode run.

“It was almost too fun play Valerie Cherish the first time around,” declared Kudrow. “I look forward to revisiting this resilient and ironically self-unaware character.”
