Al Madrigal, The Daily Show With Jon Stewart corespondent, asks, "State after state is racing to legalize gay marriage.  The real question isn't who will be next, but who will be last?"  But we don't need statistician Nate Silver to tell us that the Deep South will be slowest to finally pass marriage equality laws.

What we do need, however, is a battle between Alabama and Mississippi to see which state is the least friendly towards gays.  "Time for a good ol' intolerance-off!" yells Madrigal, before interviewing homophobic lawyers from both states, testing their obstinacy regarding shifting attitudes about homosexuality.

Of course, The Daily Show goes on to humiliate these bigoted buffoons.  In addition to cutting up their most embarrassing quotes, Madrigal sends out a publicly affectionate gay couple (rainbow confederate flag and all) with hidden cameras to prove that most citizens don't actually care about gayness nearly as much as the hateful people who make anti-gay laws.

In fact, many people on the street even showed the couple some Southern hospitality:  "Y'all are like the most punk  couple I've ever seen.  I can tell y'all dig really dig each other. That's beautiful," says a friendly stranger.

Conclusion:  The South is pretty gay too, y'all.
