And here’s The Weekly ShoutOUT™. Each week we’re going to focus on one out athlete/performer and feature a daily pic and career timeline. We’ll be showcasing the big names, but also the lesser-known gay and bisexual celebs who deserve more recognition. This week we give a ShoutOUT™ to … Sal Mineo

Like most heartthrobs of his time, Sal decided to cut a few records, and actually had a top ten hit in 1957. “Start Movin’ (In My Direction)” hit #9 and sold over a million copies.

He followed that up with 1959’s The Gene Krupa Story.

Continuing the top 30 live-action TV themes/openings of the 90’s! At #15 is Living Single.

Airing on Fox from August 29, 1993 – January 1, 1998, Living Single starred Queen Latifah, Kim Coles, Erika Alexander and Kim Fields as the Blanche. They were four friends coping with work and relationships in Brooklyn, with Latifah providing the perfectly early-90’s theme song.
