The Sultry Backstage World Of 3.1 Philip Lim

If you’ve never been to a real deal fashion show, I can tell you — it’s a lot of sound and fury signifying nothing. People stand in line, and then wait in their seats sometimes for hours (Marc Jacobs famously made his audience wait more than two hours to start his spring/summer 2008 show.) And typically, the actually “fashion” only lasts about 10 minutes — the equivalent of two and a half Miley Cyrus songs. So given the long waits and the short shows, a lot happens backstage. In the case of the recent 3.1 Philip Lim show in Paris, a lot of hot, sulking man meat was happening back stage.

Okay, maybe not sulking, but definitely hot, right?

Here, they wait. And brood. Look at that furrowed brow!

Occasionally, they let it all hang out. (Thank God).

And sometimes, you will catch them smiling!
