It's 2015—a year with great portent for fans of the Back to the Future series.

With that in mind, we're sharing an interesting nugget from the original BTTF—a deleted scene thatfirst  surfaced when the film was released on DVD.

In it, Marty McFly worries his time-travel shenanigans make turn him gay. (Hey, it was the '80s, people were less enlightened.)

Marty,  played by Michael J Fox, concocts a plan with Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) that involves McFly flirting with his  mother (Lea Thompson).

“I can’t believe I’m going to feel up my own mother," Marty complains. "This is the kind of thing that could screw me up permanently. What if I go back to the future and I end up being… gay?”

Of course, this being the 1950s, Doc Brown misunderstands what he means.
