Michael Sam made his debut on ABC's Dancing with the Stars this week, and while his score of 26 didn't put him at the head of the pack, the judges were quick to praise his, ahem, assets.

"That butt is a work of art," declared out judge Bruno Toniolli. Fellow hoofer Carried Anne Inaba also praised Sam as "a beautiful, gorgeous man" with a fine rear, but cautioned him about sticking it out too much during his performance.

Julianne Hough said Sam, who danced the cha-cha to "Uptown Funk" with partner Peta Murgatroyd, was a little "sloppy" with his footwork, but loved the "groove within you that is so fun to watch and infectious."

The out football player has been gearing up to participate in the first-ever NFL Veteran Combine later this week, spending three hours a day in the gym training, followed by four hours of dance rehearsal.

No surprise he's got buns of steel.
