Greasy Pig Studios has released their latest fan parody video based on the comic-book character of Lila Cheney.

Lila Cheney, who is first introduced in New Mutants by Marvel Comics, is a singer and thief who possesses the mutant ability of teleportation. She often performs alongside fellow mutant musician Dazzler, who can morph sound into beams of powerful light.

Though the character of Lila Cheney appears in several X-Men comics, this particular video from Greasy Pig Studios and Superhero Pop portrays one particular story in which Cheney meets the New Mutants, a group of teenage mutant superheroes.

The video opens on the new mutants sneaking off to attend an underground concert at which Cheney is performing. The mutants are superfans of the singer and are incredibly excited to see her take the stage. When she finally does, she digs into an electric song entitled "I Will Steal Your Heart," an obvious nod to the character's sordid past as a thief.

Halfway through the number, Cheney spots one of the new mutants in the audience, with whom she proceeds to teleport to a distant planet. Once they arrive, it becomes clear that Cheney wants to steal a precious gem located in the depths of a secret cave. However, as soon as she snags the loot, the duo are ambushed by aliens and are only saved by the mutant's ability to rocket them away from danger.

It's a thoroughly entertaining interpretation of the story and Sage Montclair, who performs as Lila Cheney in the video, pulls off an eerily accurate cosplay of the character.
