HBO's highly anticipated adaptation of The Normal Heart, based on the award-winning play by Larry Kramer, got a new trailer ahead of its May 25 premiere.

Adapted by Kramer himself, the film follows gay activist Need Weeks (Mark Ruffalo) as he battles the rising AIDS epidemic and institutional apathy in early '80s New York. Helmed by TV titan Ryan Murphy, the project boasts an all-star cast—including Ruffalo, Julia Roberts, Jonathan Groff, Jim Parsons, Matt Bomer, Taylor Kitsch, Alfred Molina, Joe Mantello and Joel Grey.
