The Original British “Queer As Folk” Coming To Logo TV
To celebrate the arrival of Russell T. Davis’ latest queer dramas, Cucumber and Banana, Logo TV is airing Davies’ groundbreaking Queer as Folk. That’s the original British version starring Sons of Anarchy hunk Charlie Hunnam, not the U.S. remake.
Originally premiering in the UK back in 1999, the show followed 15-year-old Nathan (Hunnam) as he immerses himself in gay life in Manchester—and falls for 29-year-old heartbreaker Stuart (Game of Thrones’ Aidan Gillen).
He admitted, “I think when I was young, I was a little bit more fearless with that stuff.” We’d say you’re still pretty fearless, Charlie.
