Remember the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards when Madonna kissed Britney Spears, the world freaked out and Christina Aguilera threw a tantrum that no one was talking about her kiss with Madonna because the camera cut to Justin Timberlake's reaction instead? Well, Britney's manager, Larry Rudolph, shared the story of how that historic lady-loving lip lock happened.

“Madonna had been very, very, very rigid about the rehearsals," Rudolph told Billboard. "She was telling Britney and I every day, ‘Be here tomorrow at 10 o’clock.’ She would never address me by name, she would just say, ‘You, make sure Britney’s here tomorrow at 10 o’clock.’ And I would say, ‘okay.’ You don’t want to upset her.”

Turns out Her Madgesty not only knew Rudolph's name, but she was still in a kissing mood when she saw him on the elevator after her performance.

"She came right up to me," Larry recalled, "she put her arms around my waist and she gave me a big kiss on the lips. And she said, 'You see Larry, it was all worth it.'"
