The young star was signing autographs when she was murdered by an unidentified man.

Christina Grimmie, a singer who rose to fame on YouTube before eventually finishing third on the sixth season of NBC's The Voice, was fatally shot while signing autographs after her concert in Orlando on Friday night.

The gunman then shot and killed himself after being tackled by the victim's brother.

The 22-year-old singer, who was performing with the band Before You Exit at The Plaza Live, was critically injured at the scene and was quickly taken to a hospital, where she eventually passed away.

The suspect is currently not being identified, and no motive has been given for the murder at this time.

Members of The Voice family shared their condolences on social media, including Grimmie's coach Adam Levine, who immediately posted a photo of the singer with the caption, "I'm sad, shocked and confused. We love you so much Grimmie. We are all praying hard that you can pull through this...this just isn't fair."
