MONACO-TV-FESTIVALKevin McHale Talks Dealing With Finn’s Death

Glee will put off dealing with the consequences of Cory Monteith’s death until the third episode of the season, when we find out the character of Finn Hudson has died. Glee boss Ryan Murphy said the episode won’t deal with the cause of Finn or Monteith’s death, but instead focus on grief and reaction. The cast has begun filming already, and Kevin McHale, who plays Artie Abrams, told TVLine that it’s already challenging since some character react to Finn’s death very differently than their actors responded to Monteith, while some are even in denial.

“Some people aren’t dealing with the loss of Finn, and it’s a difficult thing because in real life none of us were like that. We were all very much dealing with it,” he said.

“There are so many incredibly well written and powerful scenes. When we got the script, we were all reading it together and we were like, ‘Did you get to that one scene.’ And when you see it everyone will know what that one scene is.”
