Grant Gustin To Play The Flash

It’s official, Grant Gustin is on the road to superherodom with a new role on The CW’s Arrow this fall.  Gustin, who also plays Dalton boy Sebastian Smythe on Glee, will star as Barry Allen, who becomes superhero The Flash.

According to a character breakdown, “Barry Allen is a Central City assistant police forensic investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. A comic book fan boy, Barry is obsessed with the Arrow, unaware that working with Oliver and Felicity to solve the crime has brought him right into the dangerous world of the vigilante.”

His new castmates are already sending their congratulations.

“Hey @grantgust… You should probably start stretching your hamstrings like… immediately. Congratulations!! #Flash,” series star Stephen Amell Tweeted on Friday afternoon.

The Flash character is already tapped for a potential spinoff series, but for now he’ll be features in episodes 8, 9 and 20 of Arrow.

Naya Rivera confirmed a kiss between her and new Glee guest star Demi Lovato in one of the first three episodes of the season. A radio DJ asked Rivera if she’d rather kiss Lovato or Miley Cyrus. “Demi Lovato .. and I did it!” Rivera replied.
