This Gay Couple Bought JebBushForPresident.Com, And They're Not Giving It Up

Gay couple Charlie Rainwater and C.J. Phillips of Portland, Oregon, are definitely not Republicans. But the self-described "high tech bears" bought the JebBushforPresident.com domain name back in 2008, and have no intention of turning it over to the former Florida governor just because he's declared his candidacy.

Rainwater and Phillips, who have been together since 1996, started the site as a way to start a conversation about LGBT rights. "We find ourselves at a crossroad," they wrote on the site's intro page. "How can we help our friends, family, and neighbors have the discussions we all need to have so we can learn from each other and break down some of the tension, drama, and sometimes outright ignorance of our fellow man?"

There's not a ton of content on JebBushForPresident.com, but that could change now that the youngest Bush son has officially thrown his hat in the ring.

The guys haven't said if the Bush campaign has tried to buy the domain, but reveal "we've had a couple of offers," telling Business Week, “One person asked flat out why a gay couple would have a candidate centric domain. The latest was someone saying they wanted to buy the domain as a birthday present for a friend!"
