This Hidden-Camera Interview Proves Anti-Gay Workplace Discrimination Is Alive And Well

The problem persists because many aren't aware it's legal.

Workplace discrimination against LGBTs is unfortunately alive and well, even in the world's most progressive countries.

Swedish YouTube duo Konrad and Olle have detailed the ongoing discriminatory problem (which, by the way, many people aren't aware exists) in a social experiment that's going viral for all the right reasons this week.

The pair received a letter from a man who claimed he'd been fired from his job after his employer learned he was gay. Flabbergasted by the notion that such a claim could be true in the year 2015, both men decided to see if there was any truth to it by applying for the exact same job, one as a gay man and the other as a straight man.

In watching their respective interviews below, it's clear which of the guys is the better candidate and which is more well-liked by the employer.

Unfortunately — though not surprisingly — the gay man is passed up for the job simply because he is gay.
