This Week’s Infatuations: Cookies, Cohen, Gaybies!

This week has been long, and it's lovely to have a weekend. Before that, however, let's peek at what this week has brought!

It's time for an e-mail intervention.

You know those friends who still use an @aol.com or (gasp) an @hotmail.com e-mail address? You know how much you judge them? Now there's a nice, gentle way to tell them. It's the Gmail intervention site, and you can customize it just for your friend.

Are you guilty of using antiquated e-mail addresses? Well then you might need to watch this, too.

Is it scientifically possible to like Ben Cohen any more than I already do?

Okay... so I might have a thing for beefy hairy guys. Straight ex-rugby player Ben Cohen is in the midst of launching his very own anti-bullying org, the StandUp Foundation. The site will launch August 3, but its mission is already pretty clear: ending bullying for the LGBT community and everyone else. He just released a quick video about it, check out his adorableness.

Gayby!

What happens when your straight best girl friend asks you, a gay dude, to impregnate her? I'm not sure, exactly. But the short film Gayby (now being made into a feature-length indie film) sounds pretty hilarious. They're currently in the midst of fundraising. I think it's a (amusingly) worthwhile effort. The trailer's below.

What do I spy? Spotify!

I'm a music junkie. My headphones spend a solid 8 hours on my head or neck while I'm at work, and I consistently go over my 40-hour monthly cap on Pandora Online Radio.

Who comes and saves the day? A beautiful online music service called Spotify. Unlike other online radio providers, Spotify has a beautiful, ITunes-y interface, lets you listen to whatever song you want and has a super-high audio quality. I'm sold.

Cookies? Yes please.

You know how sometimes your best friend will know exactly what you're thinking? This happened to me today. As I sat at my desk pondering about life, cookies and milk... my friend posted this lovely infographic below. It sort of sums up my life/explains why I'm single. Cookies!
