Three Boys Work It Out As “The Schuyler Sisters” From Broadway’s “Hamilton”

"I'm looking for a mind at work!"

Three young actors delivered a fierce performance from Broadway’s Hamilton at this year’s Miscast Gala.

The Miscast Gala, an annual event hosted by MCC Theater, features Broadway stars performing musical numbers for roles they would never get cast in.

This year saw Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt standout Tituss Burgess performing a lively duet with costar Tina Fey, The Color Purple’s Cynthia Erivo giving Yentl realness and She Loves Me’s Gavin Creel and Grease: Live’s serving something seriously steamy in their rendition of “Take Me Or Leave Me” from Rent.

Though all these performances were certainly fabulous, one of the most memorable performances of the evening came from three of Broadway’s brightest young actors: School of Rock’s Luca Padovan, Les Misérables’ Joshua Colley, and Kinky Boots’ Douglas Baldeo.

The three actors, along with On Your Feet star Ana Villafañe as Aaron Burr, teamed up to take on the sassy trio “The Schuyler Sisters” from Broadway’s mega-hit Hamilton and totally turned it out.
