Throwback Thursday: Cher On The Actual “RuPaul Show”

Chaz Bono and Georgia Holt had a kiki with the dolls on RuPaul’s Drag Race this week, but Cher actually paid a visit to the Drag Queen of All Media’s original talk show way back in 1997, just a year before her “Believe” comeback and somewhere between face-lifts.

On the show, Cher chatted about meeting the Pope, guys she’d want to shag, and why she loves being a girl. Turns out Cher and Ru have something in common—and it’s not just an impeccable Cher impersonation. Cher also performs lip-synchs for her life to a song from her then-latest album, It’s A Man’s World, a statement she would later contradict to gyrating effect years later.
