"Throwing Shade" Podcast Coming To TV Land As Late-Night Comedy Show

TV's about to get a whole lot shadier.

Throwing Shade, the hilarious and popular podcast hosted by comedians Bryan Safi (A Deadly Adoption) and Erin Gibson (Parks and Recreation), that takes "a weekly look at all the issues important to ladies and gays," has been picked up as a late-night comedy show for TV Land.

"The unscripted series will feature social commentary and funny skits, and like the podcast, will cover current issues including pop culture and politics and treat them 'with much less respect than they deserve,' according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Hollywood Reporter also announced that the first season will consist of 10 episodes and be filmed in front of a live audience.

The show doesn't premiere until January 2017 so TV Land has provided a sneak peek at the first episode featuring a funny skit about what happens when two gay men aren't allowed to kiss in public-even on their wedding day.

The podcast was originally launched in 2011, and has been produced by Funny or Die since 2013. To learn more about Throwing Shade including the upcoming summer tour, click here.
