Tituss Burgess Will Host New Cooking Show With Explosive Twist

The "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" star is about to get messy.

But will the contestants cook with peeno noir?

Four-time Emmy-nominated Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Tituss Burgess has been tapped to host a new cooking competition series for Quibi, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman’s short-form digital service, Deadline reports.

The series, Dishmantled, is described as “a high-octane cooking competition that will literally blow your socks off.” Each episode "starts with the cannon-blasting of a mystery food dish into the faces of two blindfolded chefs. They’ll use their culinary prowess to identify the exploded dish and then race against the clock to recreate it. Whichever chef comes closest to the original dish wins a cash prize."

Dishmantled is being cooked up by Linda Lea, creator and executive producer of Food Network's Chopped, Good Egg Entertainment, and Electus. Lea was also an executive producer of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy for Bravo.

Burgess made headlines last month when the 40-year-old Dolemite Is My Name actor called host Andy Cohen a "messy queen" following an awkward appearance on Watch What Happens Live. The Broadway vet released an EP, Saint Tituss, last month.

Quibi is set to launch in April 2020. A premiere date for Dishmantled has yet to be announced.
