Tituss Burgess Sings "The Little Mermaid" With John Stamos

Take us back to 2007!

Years before he landed his game-changing role on Tina Fey's Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Titus Burgess was slaying audiences as one of the most talented tenors on Broadway.

Burgess originated the role of Sebastian the Crab when The Little Mermaid came to Broadway in 2007 and, on an episode of The Late Late Show this week, he revisited the iconic role and sang "Kiss the Girl" with a little help from John Stamos.

Earlier in the segment, Titus described the time he had a "Bodyguard moment" while promoting Kimmy Schmidt in Paris.

"I got off the plane and there's this guy standing there, and I thought it was my driver," he recalled. "He goes, 'right this way,' and I'm like, 'oh you're taking me to my car' and he was like, 'no, I'm your bodyguard.' And he was foine too!"

He joked: "I just heard Whitney in my head and I was like, girl now I understand what you were going through in that movie!"
