Another "Duck Dynasty" Star Slams Gays, Michigan Marriage Ban Continues: Today In Gay

Another Duck Dynasty cast member has declared gays and lesbians are hellbound sinners: Willie Robertson, son of DD patriarch Phil Robertson, told CNN's Kyra Phillips he believes in the Biblical proscriptions against homosexuality.

"I believe what the Bible says," declared the younger Robertson, the current CEO of Duck Commander. "And so that’s what he says to put those in. You have to read the Bible and make up your own mind. God will ultimately decide that. We don't profess to be God and we certainly don't profess to be perfect because we have our own sins to deal with."

“And for him and for you, the Bible is literal, that’s how it is, right?” asked Phillips.

Replied Robertson: "That’s how it was said."

Y'know at a certain point we have to believe these college-educated multimillionaires don't really believe what they're spouting and are just trying to rev up a segment of the duck-call-buying public.

Hoping to staunch the flow of bad press, Mozilla released a statement

Mozilla has always been deeply committed to honoring diversity in sexual orientation and beliefs within our staff and community, across all the project’s activities. One concrete example of this is in our health benefit policies. Mozilla provides the same level of benefits and advantages to domestic partners as we do to married couples across the United States, even in states where it is not mandated.

For those who choose life insurance, voluntary spouse coverage extends to domestic partners, including same-sex couples. With thousands of people spanning many countries and cultures, diversity is core to who we are, and we’re united in our mission to keep the Web open and accessible for everyone.

The Biggest Loser - Season 14Biggest Loser coach Bob Harper says coming out on the show last November was an important moment for him.

"I'd been on my show for so many seasons and I had never found a relevant time to talk about it until I had a gay person on the show who was really, really suffering with a lot of self-loathing," Harper told Gay Star News. "I just wanted him to know that it's okay to be gay and I decided I needed to come out at that moment and it's been great ever since."

More than 17,000 have signed an Equality Michigan petition asking Governor Rick Snyder and Attorney General Bill Schuette to drop their appeal of a verdict striking down the state's ban on same-sex marriage.

While several counties went ahead and started giving marriage certificates to gay couples, Schuette says the state will not recognize them unless and until the courts decide it must. "The Supreme Court has already addressed precisely this situation—a federal district court striking down a state marriage amendment—and concluded that a stay pending appeal was necessary.”

Attorneys for Jayne Rowse and April DeBoer, the lesbian couple whose court case led to the ban being lifted, disagree: “There are times when maintaining the status quo makes sense," they said in a statement. "There are also times when maintaining the status quo is merely a kinder label for perpetuating discrimination that should no longer be tolerated. The public interest in this case lies on the side of ending discrimination, promoting equality and human dignity and providing security for children.”
