Ugg for Men drops a TV spot today featuring dapper NFL hottie Tom Brady playing a quick game of imaginary football with some regular ol’ scene filler types—and a kid—at the gate of some airport terminal. Cute. And about to take over your TV set.
And something cute that could improve your chances of flying happily into Southern California is the location of the ad: The LA Ontario International Airport—the best non-LAX airport to get yourself to Los Angeles. It’s much less busy than LAX; they had to add LA to the title a few years ago because, well, Ontario, California never became Newark, New Jersey. It has a 24 hours take off and landing schedule and is only 38 miles east of downtown LA and 18 west of San Bernardino. The major flyers taking off and landing there are Southwest Airlines, United, American, Delta and US Airways. Added bonus—the building’s not that ugly either.
Actually, this pretend game of football is hardly the first time the LA Ontario Airport was shot on film. Some trivia for when you arrive…Even though the story was set in Miami, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks filmed Catch Me If You Can inside and out of Terminal 1. Also on film—the airport was used in 2001′s Blow and 2007′s Zodiac.
