Tom Daley And Dustin Lance Black Announce Engagement In Old-School Newspaper Ad

"Once Rio is out of the way, they will properly plan the wedding.”

Diver Tom Daley and Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black are officially engaged. The couple announced their intention to wed with a wedding announcement today in the Times of London.

“The engagement is announced between Tom, son of Robert and Debra Daley of Plymouth, and Lance, son of Jeff Bisch of Philadelphia and Anne Bisch of Lake Providence.”

Daley has been dating Black for about two years, having come out in a memorable YouTube video, in which he indicted he was dating a man. Some months later he and Black made their relationship public.

“The whole family is extremely excited and looking forward to the big day,” Daley’s mom, Debbie, told the Plymouth Herald. “They are going to wait until after the Olympic Games in Rio before they decide on the date of the wedding and where they want to marry”

Black and Daley currently live in London, where Daley is training for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

“Training has always come first for him,” says Debbie. “Once Rio is out of the way, they will properly plan the wedding.”
