Tom Ford Goes Full Hitchcock For His New Film "Nocturnal Animals"

Watch the trailer for the fashion designer's follow up to "A Single Man."

It's been seven years since Tom Ford's first feature film, the critically acclaimed A Single Man. Now he's finally back behind the camera with his new noir thriller, Nocturnal Animals starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams.

Gyllenhaal and Adams play a divorced couple whose dark secrets are uncovered after Gyllenhaal's character writes a violent crime novel that Adams' believes is a thinly veiled tale of revenge.

Here is a synopsis from Indiewire:

Amy Adams stars as a Los Angeles artist in the middle of a creative crisis. She receives a manuscript from her ex-husband (Jake Gyllenhaal) despite not having spoken to him in nearly 19 years. The story he has written details a bloody crime committed by a band out outlaws against a family of three, and it’s a story Adams’ character quickly believes is an act revenge. As the two stories unfold, Ford spins a wicked tale of past and present choices.

After its Venice Film Festival premiere The Hollywood Reporter described the film as "David Lynch meets Alfred Hitchcock meets Douglas Sirk" and called it "a sumptuously entertaining noir melodrama laced with vicious crime and psychological suspense."
