Tom From The”Queer Eye” Premiere Is No Longer With Abby

"She will always be the love of my life."

They say that breaking up is hard to do. It’s even harder when millions of people watched your relationship blossom on television.

Netflix

That’s the burden carried by Tom Jackson, the good old Georgia boy the Fab Five made over in the first episode of Netflix’s Queer Eye reboot. As viewers of the episode know, Tom had some hard knocks but his biggest obstacle was his low opinion of himself.

And with help from Jonathan, Bobby, and the gang, he was able to present a more polished, confident version of himself to his ex-wife Abby, who met him at a vintage car show.

We were all wondering how Queer Eye would play out in the modern day. Tom’s episode, “You Can’t Fix Ugly,” assured us the new version wasn’t just about haircuts and zhushing. It was heartfelt.

Alas, on Tuesday, Tom, who called himself “a dumb old country boy from Kentucky,” tweeted that he and Abby aren’t an item anymore.

“Abby and I are no longer together,” he wrote. “She will always be the love of my life. I will always love her more than anything.”

Aw man, it’s bad enough we cry when watching the show. Now we’re misting up over a tweet.
