Tom Lenk is known for recreating red-carpet looks on his Instagram page with his hilarious “Lenk Lewks for Less” posts. But the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star took his parodying prowess to a new level last week by recreating an entire musical number from the ’80s movie Teen Witch.
Lenk teamed up with Robyn Lively, who played teen witch Louise Miller in the ’89 flick, to reimagine the film’s classic “Top That” rap scene.
Lively trades in her original role to play the part of Louise’s best friend Polly, who engages in a rap battle with her crush in the film. Check out the clip below if you need a quick refresher.
Lenk and Lively go all out for their reenactment of the scene, recreating the wardrobe and choreography, and using “some random guy’s over-the-top bro-centric jeep that happened to be parked nearby” as the background.
When it comes to recreating legendary scenes, it will be hard to top this version of “Top That.”
🎃TOP THAT🎃 Happy Halloween from me and my hilarious pal @robynlively (LOUISE from Teen Witch! Are you freaking out?! LUV YEW SEW MUCH ROBYN!) Here's a special trick-or-treat for all you TEEN WITCH die-hards out there! And for those of you who aren't obsessed with this MEWVIE – GET INTO IT. You too can get that TEEN WITCH LEWK SEW EZ. Robyn, the OG Teen Witch herself, steps into the non-witch best friend role of "Polly" wearing a baby's sun hat that I found a while back at the @99centsonly store, a white dress shirt with the sleeves cut off and a violet curtain panel we folded up and safety pinned around the waist. Awful WIGZ from my WIG BAHX. And some random guys over the top bro-centric jeep that happened to be parked nearby. All $FREE from/by my HAUS!
