Finland has presented iconic artist Tom of Finland with the highest honor that one can receive these days: he's been given his own emoji.

Finland, the first country in the world to publish its own set of national emojis, announced it is adding seven new images to its current collection, including one to represent the artist's legendary work.

The addition is a celebration of the fact that same-sex marriage will officially become legal in Finland on March 1 of this year, but it is also just in time for the upcoming Tom of Finland biopic.

Dome Karukoski directed the film, which will explore the life of Touko Laaksonen, the gay erotic artist who became famous as Tom of Finland.
