"Angels In America" Revival Receives 11 Tony Award Nominations

"Mean Girls" and "Spongebob Squarepants" lead the pack with 12 nods each.

Regina George and the Plastics are the most popular girls at North Shore High and on Broadway.

This morning Katharine McPhee and Leslie Odom, Jr. announced the nominations for the 2018 Tony Award Nominations with musicals Spongebob Squarepants and Mean Girls leading the pack with 12 nominations each.

The critically acclaimed revival of Angels in America also made an impact with Tony voters. Tony Kushner's two-part epic received 11 nominations, including nods for Andrew Garfield and Nathan Lane.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which swept the Olivier Awards in London last year, was nominated for 10 Tonys.
