Tove Lo And Kehlani Are Headlining L.A. Pride 2018

"They're two of the most daring women in music today," says organizer Gregory Alexander.

Platinum-record-selling musician Tove Lo is headlining the 2018 L.A. Pride Festival this June, where she’ll be joined by rising hip-hop star Kehlani.

“Kehlani and Tove Lo are two of the most daring women in music today,” festival organizer Gregory Alexander told Billboard. “We’re excited to see how they’ll lead the raw and authentic voice of this year’s festival.”

Kehlani, who takes the stage June 9, has spoken publicly about her bisexuality over the years. “I’ve dated both men and women,” she told Complex in 2015. “You fall in love with a person’s mind, you fall in love with a person’s soul, not with whatever’s down there.

Her debut album, SweetSexySavage, is up for a GLAAD Media Award.

Tove Lo, who’s performing June 10, opened up about being bi in a December 2016 interview with Attitude: “Being open and owning my sexuality in both ways—with both men and women—I think that’s just never been a big deal.” (The Swedish singer-songwriter will also perform at New York City Pride’s Pride Island later in the month.)

This theme for this year’s festival is #JustBe, meant to encourage people to embrace their own definition of Pride and sense of authenticity. Below, check out some highlights from L.A. Pride 2017.
