Trans Woman Who Was Ridiculed By Russian Cops Is Stabbed To Death

In 2014, Angela Licina was harassed and humiliated by police, who then posted a video of the incident online.

A trans woman in Russia who was ridiculed by traffic cops has been murdered, according to a Russian news source.

Angela Licina, 40, was stabbed five times on Monday night in Ufa, Bashkortostan. The main suspect is Licina's boyfriend's ex-wife, who was drunk at the time of the attack.

Previous reports indicate the woman threatened and beat Licina in the past.

In 2014, Licina became the victim of cyberbullying, when a video of her being harassed by traffic cops appeared online. The police pulled her over for not wearing a seatbelt, then began laughing hysterically upon learning she was trans. They then posted the video on the Internet where it led to even more harassment.

"Just get used to the fact that no matter how hard you try to avoid nasty people in your life, they will still be present in it," Licina said upon seeing the video. Her requests for an apology and that the video be taken down were ignored.

Before her death, Licina owned a car repair shop.
