Wendy Williams continues to run her mouth amok on her talk show, asking Monday's audience if they were Bruce's son's would they have a problem with alleged transition? A collective "yeah," is heard from the audience, further condemning this as a shameful act.

Such coverage “is harmful in a truly profound way,” a prominent transgender writer/activist Parker Molloy recently told the LA Times. “The message it sends, especially if you don’t know anyone else who is trans, is that you are a joke and you are a freak show."

Now Transparent creator Jill Soloway (who, herself, witnessed her own father's transition) is speaking out in Jenner's defense.

“You know, with Bruce Jenner, people who are transitioning have such a hard time with all aspects,” Soloway told TheWrap.

"Speculation about trans people, other-izing them, looking at them and guessing isn’t what’s called for. Let them be. Let it be what it is."

The exact details of Friday's two-hour special have been kept tightly guarded, with teaser promos offering snippets of Jenner stating "my whole life has been getting me ready for this," and referring to his family as "the only ones I’m concerned with. I can’t let myself hurt them.”

Bruce Jenner: The Interview airs this Friday at 9pm on ABC.
