Byron Bay is a laid-back town with a bunch of superlative beaches, and Main is the center of the action, a white stretch of pristine white sand with waves that draw surfers from all over the world. You can snorkel out to a wreck off the coast, but you might just want to lie back and admire the buff Aussie surfer boys and girls.
