Trixie Mattel Opens RuPaul’s DragCon LA With All-Star “Kitty Girl” Cover

The "All Stars" winner's acoustic set also included "Little Sister" and "Moving Parts."

Trixie Mattel had a very important message for fans at RuPaul’s DragCon: “Don’t touch my hair.”

The RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 3 winner officially kicked off the fourth annual L.A. DragCon, taking the Los Angeles Convention Center stage Friday to “play some gay-ass music.”

“We’re here to celebrate all different types of drag,” said Trixie, introducing opener “Mama Don’t Make Me Put on the Dress.” “However, bitch, I hate getting in drag, and that inspired this song.”

Serving old-school Dolly Parton glamour, Trixie then kicked it up a notch with an infectious acoustic cover of the epic All Stars 3 maxi challenge version of RuPaul’s “Kitty Girl,” taking all the sassy guest verses from finalists Shangela, Kennedy Davenport, and BeBe Zahara Benet.

Well, technically, she asked a Drag Race super-fan to join her on stage and do BeBe’s part. Wait, was that a read?

Trixie, who’s currently touring North America, concluded her set with “Little Sister” and “Moving Parts,” highlights from her latest album, One Stone.
