Troye Sivan teased his fans on Twitter with a big announcement, only to dash their hopes within minutes.

The singer, who is on tour in support of his album Bloom, told his followers today, just before 1pm EST, to expect "something special" in five minutes. Then he quickly clarified that he was mistaken on the date, and that the announcement was instead intended for tomorrow. A third tweet, completing the thread, reads simply, "Bye."

The non-announcement announcement had everyone deep in their feelings, and they let him hear it.

Fans no longer have to wait, as the surprise has come. Sivan announced the song “Revelation,” a collaboration between himself and Jónsi, is now available everywhere. Not only that, it has been nominated for Best Original Song at the Hollywood Music In Media Awards.
