Could Trump Supporters Pass His "Extreme Vetting" Gay Rights Test?

"The Daily Show" tests out the presidential hopeful's plan for Muslim immigrants on his own fans.

Earlier this week, Donald Trump proposed a new program he called "extreme vetting" as a way to manage immigration into the United States.

The plan entails only letting people into the country who share our morals and values, specifically religious freedom, gender equality and gay rights.

The Daily Show's Trevor Noah posed the question we were all thinking though, when he asked, "How widely shared are the values that Trump speaks of amongst Trump supporters?"

They sent correspondent Jordan Klepper to a Trump rally to find out if his fans could pass the extreme vetting test themselves, and — spoiler alert! — they definitely could not.

When one woman was asked if gay couples should have the same rights as heterosexual couples, she answered with a definitive "no."

"I don’t think it’s fair,” she said. “The regular couple, they worked so hard. And the gay couple wants more.”

Sadly, their answers only get more homophobic, Islamophobic and misogynistic from there.
