TV on Tap: David Giuntoli Discusses #ShirtlessRage”, Joe Manganiello Slacks Off on “HIMYM” and Spotting “American Horror Story” Dirty Talk

Tonight’s How I Met Your Mother has Joe Manganiello showing off his “comy hubby” look

George Takei posted a Hawaii Five-0 set picture with Daniel Dae Kim on his tumblr and… oh my God, George Takei has a tumbr. I wish I had the productivity that such a discovery could damage.

Zap2It reports that True Blood shapeshifter Janina Gavankar has taken a recurring role on Arrow as a vice cop who had run-ins with Olliver when he was just a partying playboy.

Stephen Falk, who created the sitcom Next Caller only to see the series get cancelled before it could air, wrote about his experience and the emotions that comes with an abrupt cancellation. I was surprised to be a little moved by Falk’s post. By all accounts, Next Caller was exactly the show you’d imagine when you hear that it stars Dane Cook as a free spirited radio host who finds himself co-hosting a show on an NPR station. Falk writes about a tough situation in a very engaging way.

Somebody get me some popcorn because now two producers of ABC’s reality series The Glass House are suing CBS for harassment. While CBS has given up on its lawsuit claiming that The Glass House stole from Big Brother, its still suing some of the producers.

In an interview with EW, Grimm star David Giuntoli weighed in on the #ShirtlessRage campaign over footage of Sasha Roiz shirless getting left unaired. “Sasha’s one of the funniest people I know. And it’s brilliant ’cause he knows that people want to see him with his shirt off, and he works it. He’s got a great figure. But he also knows that it’s so silly. He’s a brilliant actor, and then people want to see him with his shirt off. I love that he has fun with it.” Oh Dave, we appreciate Sasha’s talent just as much as we enjoy looking at him. But we’re also all for #ShirtlessNick!

Is anyone surprised that Stephen Colbert got handsy with his wax figure?

Vulture asks if you can separate lines spoken this season on American Horror Story from the ridiculous dirty talk they made up. I’m usually to busy screaming to pay that much attention to the dialogue.

Lifetime may be bringing back Army Wives for a seventh season but TV Line has the scoop on how the show is rebootng, killing off one major character and introducing new wives.

We told you that Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue have been cancelled, but I find the way the news is being reported interesting. EW says that ABC is closing the door on ordering another season in May (which is very unlikely), but that’s a big contrast to how Karine Vanasse had to clarify herself after she tweeted last year about Pan Am being cancelled. Usually a doomed show like Last Resort gets to finish airing its episodes and the network ignores any questions about the show’s future until the next fall schedule is announced. Now, the two series are widely reported as canceled.

While Anderson is on assignment, Rosie O’Donnell and NeNe Leakes are teaming up to take Anderson’s place. It’s like the producers decided they had to make sure the show’s gay quotient couldn’t drop too far after Anderson shared a gummy python with Andy Cohen, I’ve already double and triple-checked my DVR to make sure that recording is set properly.

The Wendy Williams Show (syndicated) Check local listings
It’s another daytime appearance for Andy Cohen. Considering the host, it shouldn’t be a surprise that the Real Housewives are expected to be one of the topics of conversation… which reminds me — is The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills watchable this season?

Oh, dear. Does every newly minted soap gay have to discover they’ve drunkenly fathered a child with their ex-girlfriend? If this follows the hoary plot that One Life to Live did, prepare for Gabi to fall into a frozen lake soon after giving birth. Join us for a liveblog today at 1PM Eastern!

How I Met Your Mother (CBS) 8:00 PM ET
The sight of his old classmate Brad (Joe Manganiello) with his prosthetic belly, a well-established unemployment beared, shaggy hair and wearing around-the-house clothes in public prompts Marshall to call in his favors to get Brad a job interview. It goes as well as you’d think. At least the HIMYM team aren’t spending this week trying to find a fresh take on jokes about new parents being exhausted.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars (Logo) 9:00 PM ET
Eeeee! The one and only Elvira, Mistress of the Dark is guest-judging tonight’s challenge, where the dolls have to show their ability to take on an “alter ego” (a third one? Or will their street identities be a part of the challenge?).

Hawaii Five-0 (CBS) 10:00 PM ET
Hey, it’s the whole McGarrett family together in one episode. Do they fight over who gets to wear the crazypants? Then again, this family probably has a pair of crazypants for everyone.

Revolution (NBC) 10:00 PM ET
Wow. with the way things have been moving (I knew I could trust Eric Kripke) I’m surprised we’re only at the penultimate episode of the year, especially as Miles’ crew breaks into Independence Hall for a confrontation with Monroe — who is busy thinking of ways he can use his newly-obtained pendant.

Catfish: The TV Show (MTV) 11:00 PM ET
I have to admit, the people who put Catfish together know how to achieve just the right balance. It’s voyeuristic enough that watching makes you feel guilty, but you still can’t look away. This week’s tale involves Trina and Scorpio. Trina’s an exotic dancer and she believes Scorpio also takes his clothes off for audiences.

Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC) 12:05 AM ET
Eric Stonestreet chat with Jimmy.

Lyle Masaki is a fan of obscure superheroes, video games, adorkable guys and that show you loved that got cancelled way too soon.
