TV on Tap: James Purefoy Seeks “Revenge,” Get Ready for a “Nikita” Bodycount and Don’t Miss Our “Days of Our Lives” Liveblog

That’s right, liveblog. That word makes everyone smile.

The cast of Revenge just got much more good looking, as James Purefoy just signed up for a recurring role as a new romance for Victoria and her icy smiles of doom.

Arianna Huffington, along with a How I Met Your Mother producer, just sold a comedy pilot to ABC. The series will follow three freshman Congress people living together in D.C.

U.S. channels seem to be looking towards Israel for ideas lately. NBC picked up the game show Who’s Still Standing?, Showtime adapted Homeland and now TV Land has picked up a comedy about a 40-year-old man who survives a heart attack… and learns that most of the men in his family have died from heart disease around that age, a discovery that changes how he views the world.

Now that Nikita has established a few new characters in its second season, get ready for things to get bloody all over again says the espionage drama’s show runner… and remember, Ashton Holmes’ doomed Division agent was a series regular, so that title won’t be helpful in fitting anyone for a red shirt.

ABC has picked up a pilot from the production company that gave us The Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars. Based on a series of books, 666 Park Avenue follows a Midwestern couple who are hired to manage a building on the Upper East Side, where the residents have gotten ahead by making a deal with the Devil. New ABC entertainment chief Paul Lee helped develop Pretty Little Liars

Thursday night’s ratings weren’t so great for Fox and NBC. The second night of American Idol lost 28% of the adults under 50 who watched the premiere, leading it to lose to The Big Bang Theory. Meanwhile, NBC saw The Firm lose its time slot — not just to CBS and ABC but also MTV, Univision, TNT, TBS and A&E.

Pretty Little Liars (ABC Family) 8:00 PM ET
As an angry “A” threatens the Liars’ loved ones, it forces them to think about breaking off their relationships, for the safety of their loved ones. If they’re going to suggest that Hannah might break up with Caleb, I hope they deliver plenty of the hoyay between Caleb and Lucas.

Now that Sutton has managed to get her life back, it’s time to attend the black-and-white ball, where she has to pretend to be the same woman who fell for Ethan. That’s right, Sutton has convincingly act like Emma pretending to be Sutton. That is why this show is so much fun.
