Who predicted that TV Land would bring JD and Turk together again?
ABC has ordered a pilot for Joss Whedon’s rumored Avenger-spinoff, which turns out to be about S.H.I.E.L.D., the Marvel universe’s secret military agency. They keep skipping over the comics that would make my inner fanboy dance around the room.
The kids from Modern Family also got a raise. Good for them for getting a share of the success.
Terriers and The Shield creator Shawn Ryan is working with Eddie Murphy to turn Beverly Hills Cop into a TV series. As much as I loved Terriers, I’m not sure if I can get excited about this project.
So. Basically if Mitt Romney wins the election, we’ll get to enjoy a return to the days when conservative groups were constantly looking for their next Janet Jackson moment to turn into a fake outrage.
Kristin Chenoweth’s first interview after her accident on the set of The Good Wife, will occur on September 7’s episode of Live! with Kelly and a Co-Host to Be Confirmed Later.
The CW has added a third Degrassi cast member to its ranks. Stacey Farber, who played Marco’s BFF Ellie, is joining the midseason drama Cult.
How did NBC win the bidding war for Michael J. Fox’s upcoming sitcom? The quickly brought a big offer that the others wouldn’t match, namely committing to a full season without seeing a pilot or even a script.
That comment posted on Slate’s Newsroom article was not prickly and condescending enough to have come from Aaron “Internet Girl” Sorkin. Either that or there’s an empty alien pod in his home.
Last week viewers weren’t expecting a major episode of Breaking Bad, but it was the series’ most watched episode. Clearly, Breaking Bad is the blue meth of TV dramas.
Melissa & Joey (ABC Family) 8:00 PM ET
Melissa & Joey gets ready to send of its title characters into his own spin-off, I Married Dora Elena as Joe prepares to marry Elena to keep her in the country. Or maybe Elena will find a way to make sure she doesn’t disrupt the show’s status quo before the episode is done.
So You Think You Can Dance (Fox) 8:00 PM ET
If last week’s plans are still in effect, tonight should see Jesse Tyler Ferguson as guest-judge.
Futurama (Comedy Central) 10:00 PM ET
I guess transforming the Planet Express crew is now the traditional way to end a Futurama season and, after a detour into the 31st century version of the fox hunt, tonight’s one-hour season finale turns Fry, Leela and the gang into their animal counterparts. Fry manages to make it through the transformation still looking earnest and sweet.
The Soul Man (TV Land) 10:00 PM ET
For The Soul Man’s penultimate episode, Barton gets it in his head that he wants to move to Florida to live with his brother. To bring him to his senses, they call in Loretta Devine and her ability to bring out that “When I talk, you listen” tone.
Top Chef Masters (Bravo) 10:00 PM ET
This week, the cheftestants are tasked with opening a Thai restaurant, complete with their take on classic Thai dishes. I’m already shaking my fist at the sky over the lack of Thai take-out in my town and my own inability at making Pad Thai at home.
The Soup (E!) 10:00 PM ET
Unless the restraining order came in, today’s the day The Soup holds the wedding of the century for Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux. Like any time TV shows try to make celebrities’ lives into ratings, there are a whole lot of experts including Shangela.
The Exes (TV Land) 10:30 PM ET
For The Exes’ big Scrubs reunion, Zach Braff is a “ladies’ man” who “turns out to be more of a man’s man.” That means brace yourselves for some jokes based in gay innuendo and hope none of it gets to the point that we stop reminiscing fondly about J.D. and Turk.
What will you be watching tonight? Please share in the comments!

It sounds like we’ll get to see more of Will and Sonny tomorrow but not a lot.
Gigolos (Showtime) 11:00 PM ET
Showtime’s trainwreck-y, smutty reality show starts its third season tomorrow.
