TV on Tap: Chris Zylka Joins HBO’s “Leftovers” and Cher’s “Watch What Happens Live” Debut

In response to yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling, EW contacted Modern Family co-creator Christopher Lloyd who said they are now considering a wedding for Mitchell and Cameron. Lloyd said, “As you can imagine in Cam and Mitchell’s life, they would be feeling that a door has opened that was closed to them. Wouldn’t it be pretty tempting to think about walking through it? We imagine a lot of gay couples today are deciding whether to get married now that it’s open to them. From our standpoint, that’s something to explore.”

TVLine reports that time is running out for Happy Endings. The cast’s contracts will expire this week and the comedy is running out of potential new homes.

Lifetime’s upcoming series The Witches of East End just added Brothers & Sisters alum Eric Winter to its cast, TVLine reports. He’ll play the “JFK Jr.-esque” fiance to Jenna Dewan-Tatum’s character. He’s certainly got the right chest for a JFK Jr.-esque character.

Eric WinterYeah, we still remember how Eric Winter kissed Kevin Walker.

Now that they’ve stepped into the media storm to defend their mother, Buzzfeed argues that the Food Network should end Jamie and Bobby Deen’s shows as well.

The revamped One Life to Live and All My Children will finally get to air on traditional TV. OWN is giving the soaps a 10-week trial starting July

One Life to LiveBack on TV, let hope it lasts.

CNN made it official and announced it would return to hurting the country by bringing Crossfire back to the schedule. This one will feature Van Jones and Stephanie Cutter representing the left and S.E. Cupp and Newt Gingrich representing the right. I’m thrilled that Cupp will be leaving MSNBC, where she’s seemed determined to out-do Elisabeth Hasselbeck in the petulant and disingenuous department.

HBO’s rapture drama pilot The Leftovers gove even hunkier with the addition of Chris Zylka, who will play the son of Justin Theroux’s character.

FX is developing a limited series based on The Last of the Mohicans, according to The Hollywood Reporter. I’m still not sure about the idea of remaking Fargo as a TV mini-series but FX must be into the idea.

Independence Day-Saster (Syfy) 9:00 PM ET
It’s never too late to turn a tentpole release into a mockbuster movie or too early to celebrate a holiday, so Sy is celebrating Independence Day with this Independence Day-inspired mockbuster that sees Tom Everett Scott, Ryan Merriman and Andrea Brooks saving earth from an alien invasion.

Independence Day-sater“You want to talk disaster, look at Southland getting cancelled after that last season.”

Burn Notice (USA) 9:00 PM ET
While Michael tries to work on a jailbreak, Madeline and Fiona take on the truly tough part of the mission — setting a government worker for an overdue fall.

Chopped (Food Network) 9:00 PM ET
What does one do when you find pork in the dessert basked? Aside from make ice cream, I mean.

The Out List (HBO) 9:30 PM ET
Sure, this HBO documentary was scheduled as pride month programming, but considering yesterday’s news, there’s probably a touch of extra jubilation in watching prominent queer people like Neil Patrick Harris, Christine Quinn, Wade Davis and Jake Shears are profiled.

The Out List

Sullivan & Son (TBS) 10:00 PM ET
The bar’s first Ladies’ Night brings The Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar over for drinks (so is it one of those Ladies’ Nights meant to get guys to come to the bar hoping to find a lot of women there?) and somehow leads to Hank accidentally dating another guy. Considering how bad this show can get, I’m bracing myself for that Hank plot

The Graham Norton Show (BBC America) 10:00 PM ET
This week Graham is inviting Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Josh Groban, Chris O’Dowd and a fly to his show.

Showville (AMC) 10:00 PM ET
The talent will head to Fairfield, Iowa. Sadly, that’s a town name that only inspires terrible jokes in me.

Graceland (USA) 10:00 PM ET
Mike is recruited into a Nigerian drug lord’s circle to teach them shooting. I’m sure it’ll turn out Mike is a really impressive shooter but isn’t that the kind of thing you should never outsource? I’m starting to think this show relies on the bad guys to be idiots in just the right ways.

Graceland, "Pizza Box"At least there’s cool posing. You don’t see that often on TV.

Tabatha Takes Over (Bravo) 10:00 PM ET
I love it when Tabatha goes back to the places she helped in earlier seasons. I always want to know who takes Tabatha’s advice to heart in the long-term, as opposed to the ones who just know how to count six weeks on their calendar, so these episodes are usually a treat. For the season finale, we get a handful of return businesses, including (if I’m identifying them correctly) the Long Beach gay bar from last season.

Wilfred (FX) 10:00 PM ET
Somehow, Wilfred never got around to telling jokes about what happens when you take a man in a dog suit to doggie obedience school. That gets remedied tonight.

Wilfred, "Sincereity"

Watch What Happens Live (Bravo) 11:00 PM ET
Oh. Yeah. After this historic week, what could be a better caper than Andy getting to interview Cher?

What will you be watching tonight? Please share in the comments!

I know I’ve mentioned perfect timing considering recent Supreme Court decisions, but how else would you react to guest co-host Jesse Tyler Ferguson?

Lyle Masaki is a fan of obscure superheroes, video games, adorkable guys and that show you loved that got cancelled way too soon.
