TV on Tap: "RuPaul's Drag Race" Returns With New Judges, Geoff Stults Joins CBS' "Zoo" And A Beloved "Downton Abbey" Character Plans To Exit

News

The Flash had some casting easter eggs for fans of the 90's CBS Flash drama, and it looks like the upcoming Supergirl pilot will take a similar path. TVLine reports that Helen Slater (who played the cinematic Supergirl) and Dean Cain (Lois & Clark's Superman) will have guest roles.

CBS' upcoming summer series Zoo has just added Geoff Stults. According to EW, he'll play a rogue FBI agent who complicates things for the protagonists.

Dame Maggie Smith says the next season of Downton Abbey will be her final season on the hit drama.

WGN America has ordered another period drama. Underground will focus on the Underground Railroad and star Christopher Meloni, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Arrow alum Jessica De Gouw and Aldis Hodge.

ABC Family has ordered a fifth season of Baby Daddy. That means more Derek Theler shower scenes, right? Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Here's another case of the British soaps being ahead of their counterparts in the states. EastEnders is planning to introduce a transgender character and plans to cast a trans actor in the role. Hollyoaks and Coronation Street recently wrote out trans characters played by cisgender actors. I think the last time a U.S. soap had a trans character it was All My Children's Zoe.

Tom Ellis has been picked for the lead role in Fox's Lucifer pilot. Too bad it's not a proper adaptation of the amazing Lucifer comics.
